Tej Kohli Interests
This page is about my interests and other than work related activities. I am a volunteer at the local Child Care foundation; I have also developed a website for the foundation. With some of my friends, I have been spending some of my leisure time, working for the foundation and to enhance its website. Other than that I like
Sports: My favorite game is Cricket. I very much enjoy playing (although I am not great at it) and watching it as well. But I like playing it more. Even now also I manage to play cricket with my brother at least once in a month in our backyard. I also like playing table tennis and again I’m not great at it.
Music: I like all kinds of music i.e.; I have favorite songs and melodies from all the music genres except very heavy metal. I like alternative songs especially from Nirvana group and Dire straits. Beatles, Frederique mercury and pet shop boys are my all time favorites.
Books: I love both American and Indian Poetry and literature. I am fond of reading fictional novels, poetic symposiums and biographies. Dr’s Mayo is one among the best biographies I have read. Now a day’s I didn’t get the chance to read non-technical books.
Things that I like in my life
Business: Business is very interesting for me. It changes every day, it evolves quite rapidly and it's very challenging. It is very likely that someday I would consider a career in business because it's such a good match with my nature and my skills.
Politics: I love it. It's quite similar to business in a sense that it requires almost the same skill set, but it's a much more dirty game. I very much enjoy following political events and participating in them as much as I can.
India: I love India. My home land and a wonderful nation with great diversities. Unfortunately since my later childhood, I am not living in India that is the point that I always repent about. India is currently in a state of transition from a developing country to a self actualized nation. I think that we - Indians around the world - should do our part to make that transition as smooth as possible.
Kids: They are great. They are pure. They are innocent. They do not practice politics and I really enjoy playing with them. I think we can learn a thing or two about human nature by playing with kids. I have one younger brother, but I wish I had more brothers and sisters. I believe that children are the greatest treasures of a person.
